I’ve been on hiatus from the socials this summer.
I could say it happened because we just got busy, but that wouldn’t be true.
In fact, we’ve been pretty intentional about being un-busy in this season.
Slow mornings eating breakfast together.
Taking time to do little things like make fishing lure bracelets (only 1 or 2 of us lost a finger).
Making loose plans that can easily accommodate spur-of-the-moment ice cream dates and adventures without a timeline.
It’s been the summer we didn’t know we needed…but God did.
I’ve always struggled to find the right balance between motherhood and, well, everything else.
It’s something that dominated my prayers in April/May.
Would I go back to work full-time?
Having had so much flexibility in my career over the last few years, how would that impact our family?
And while sorting through those feelings, for the first time I started to experience a kind of joy-tinged sadness over how fast this motherhood ride is going.
Years with a baby felt long for me, but with the newly gained perspective of having an elementary aged kid, it’s like someone pressed the gas pedal to the floor and I just woke up to the fact that I am powerless to slow time down.
It shook me.
So I prayed a lot.
I asked God for clarity and confidence, somewhat unsure about this change of heart.
And when I told my husband in May that I wanted to give staying home a try, he was surprised but completely supportive.
So this season has been one of Proverbs 16:9 walked out.
Having faith and trusting that God is going to determine our steps.
All that to say, my full-time focus has shifted to being the best wife to Mas and mama to my three beautiful kiddos.
Made for the Heart Stuff is on the back burner for now.
I do still have a few sets available, and you can DM me on Facebook or Instagram for purchase.
I can’t express how grateful I am to all of you for your support on this journey! I’ve been blessed by so many wonderful partners and customers I’ve gotten to know.
I pray God’s peace and comfort finds ya right when you need it the most ❤️
