Scammers have been impersonating Street Faire committee members and reaching out to food truck businesses via email, asking them to participate in this event. They use Gmail accounts (official committee members have .org email addresses) and push for payments through platforms like Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, Chime, etc. Please do not pay or send money to these scammers, and if you are curious about a correspondence, call us at 218-844-7469 and talk to Emma or Nerissa to verify if you are participating in the event. We stopped accepting food truck applications in March, and we do not solicit vendors, so please be aware if you receive an unsolicited email! It's hard to get this warning out because they are reaching out to trucks we haven't communicated with before, so this is all we can do in the hopes we can save a small business from losing money. Please give us a call if you have received a suspicious email! Stay safe everyone!
