Val Voigt has enjoyed landscape painting since the age of 18. Living in Detroit Lakes, MN, She was encouraged by her family and friends.

Her art emphasizes the beauty of nature depicting local settings while capturing moments in time. Inspired by beautiful scenic surroundings, her award winning art reflects the moods created by the changing seasons in our glorious outdoors. Val is enthusiastic about sharing her love of painting. She has taught a wide variety of painting classes including being an art instructor for Michaels Stores,

and teaching painting classes for various groups. She continues to share her love of painting teaching a few select art classes as her schedule allows.
