20 YEARS OF HATCHING MAGICAL EGGS 🥚✨

No, I don't mean chicken eggs. I mean brightly-colored fairy eggs that give you special powers, obviously!

"Amu Hinamori is known among her fellow elementary students as a 'cool girl' with a spicy personality, but behind closed doors she’s actually extremely shy and wishes she could be brave enough to embrace her feminine, cutesy side. Her wish is granted in the form of three character eggs that hatch into Guardian Characters—mysterious entities that not only encourage her to achieve her potential but can even power her up by granting special abilities. Together with the student council, Amu must use her newfound powers to stop the evil forces feeding on the darkness in people’s hearts…"

💀 NEW COMIC BOOK DAY IS ON WEDNESDAY 💀

Did you feel that chill running down your spine? Maybe it's from the weather, or you thought about that scary movie you watched last night... or, maybe it's a chill in anticipation of all the sweet new comic books, graphic novels, and manga releasing tomorrow!

You might notice fewer than normal new Marvel titles on the shelves, but it's with good reason. This week is the big grand kickoff for Marvel's new storytelling initiative, the Midnight Universe, which "reimagines the Marvel Universe and its iconic characters through a darker, more sinister lens." Hmm, does that sound a little familiar to you? We're diving right in with not one, not two, but THREE flagship titles right off the bat: Midnight Fantastic Four #1, Midnight Spider-Man #1, and Midnight X-Men #1!

Other titles of note this week include:

➡ Demon #1
➡ Jonah Hex and the Shadow of Death #1
➡ DC's Quoth the Raven...Whatever #1 (one-shot)
➡ Something Is Killing the Children #50
➡ G.I. Joe A Real American Hero / Tomb Raider #1

Check out our story for the full list of new releases!

EXPAND YOUR TROOPS INTO GALAXIES FAR FAR AWAY

We'd like to highlight a few add-ons for Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game!

The new Rebels & Empire Reinforcements Expansion adds even more units, iconic ships, and new game modes.

"A new feature included are the new mission cards that let you add new reinforcement cards mid-game and new game modes... including a campaign mode which transforms Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game from a fast, one-and-done skirmish into a five-part series of games where the results of each match carry into the next."

And if you haven't picked it up yet, we've also got the Mandalorian Faction Pack! As you can probably guess, it adds the Mandalorian faction and their own unique playstyle to your game. Not only that, but this pack also features special rules and neutral cards to set up a 3-player free-for-all game mode.

Both of these require the base game, but good news: you can find the base game AND the expansions at Vault of Midnight Detroit!

🚨 RESTOCK ALERT 🚨

You'll certainly regret it (deeply) if you don't take advantage of the restock of Deep Regrets and its expansion, Deeper Regrets! Deep Regrets is a "push your luck"-style game about fishing progressively more and more horrifying things out of the ocean. Yeah, some of these things are so messed up that you might start to spiral into madness... Eep!

It's the perfect thematic addition to your next fishing trip with 1-5 participants (yup, there's a solo mode!), varying in game length depending on the number of players - around 30 minutes per player. I think that playing this at night by candlelight in a tiny fishing boat in the middle of Lake Erie would certainly add to the experience.

Reel this one in from the board games section of your local Vault of Midnight!
