MOTHER NATURE IS A WONDERFUL TEACHER 🌷🌳🐝

Life can get pretty overwhelming; so much to do and so many things weighing us down. Written by Laura Brand and illustrated by Freya Hartas, "Slow Down and Be Here Now" is a lovely book that teaches us that there are many beautiful things in nature that we can learn from.

Do you ever stop and appreciate the little moments all around you in the great outdoors? A harvest mouse building its nest, a hummingbird lapping nectar from a flower... little mushrooms growing in the soil, beetles pollinating Magnolias, or bees cooling honey with the flap of their wings. It's a beautiful, extraordinary world that we're a part of and we'd be better off to stop and notice it more often!

Be sure to stop and notice this lovingly crafted book in the All Ages section of Vault of Midnight Grand Rapids, and maybe learn a thing or two about the world while finding a little peace.

Believe it or not, this key comic book procured by the Vault Ann Arbor back issue team is the first in a four issue miniseries from 2007, based on the Child's Play films. "Ravine is a strategic and cooperative survival card game. You and your friends survived the plane crash, but will you survive the night? Work together to forage for food, craft a fire, and build shelters, but be wary: every step you take in the ravine could be one step closer to madness.

During the Day, players risk their hearts to leave camp and forage for food and supplies. Before sunset, players work together, share what they found, and craft supplies. If you prepare well enough, you may survive the Night.

Be prepared for more than just bumps in the night. Weather, animals, and other wild things will put you and your team to the test. BEWARE: Fall below two hearts and you will go mad."
