Someone did not understand the assignment! You never install an inferior product on a beautiful instrument. We took it off and installed a solid Walnut plate, made in our shop, and a flush mounted power switch which fits the console.

Brand new pipe and this happened. Apparently, the cap was made too small, the felt too thick, seam not correctly soldere...

Brand new pipe and this happened. Apparently, the cap was made too small, the felt too thick, seam not correctly soldered and the cap jammed on the pipe. Perfect scenario for the soldered seam to split. Solution - open the seam up and solder correctly. Flatten the felt and done!!
