The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is dedicated to helping adults battling substance abuse to bridge the gap on their road to recovery by providing physical, emotional, social and spiritual assistance. With capacity to serve more than 250 program participants at our Detroit campus, the residential program emphasizes behavioral modification to replace self-defeating habits with more productive, meaningful activities. Completely self-funded, the ARC’s mission is made possible by the generosity of those who donate goods and purchase items from The Salvation Army’s 29 stores across Southeast Michigan.

September is National Recovery Month, a time for us to celebrate the men and women in our Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) who are doing the brave work of recovery. We recently hosted an ice cream social to connect, reflect and remind them that healing is worth celebrating! 🍦

The ARC offers a safe place to stay, meals, counseling, spiritual care and life skills support – all at no cost – funded entirely by donations and purchases at Southeast Michigan Salvation Army Thrift Stores.

Right now, we have 70 beds available for men and women in Metro Detroit who are ready to take that next step. If that's you or someone you love, help is here.

And remember, every donation and every purchase are blessings to the men and women in our program and their families. ❤️
