Among the many tools a leather worker has, one of the most essential is a hard surface to work on. A granite or, in my case, a quartz slab is the perfect surface to create works of art on! With the smooth finished top and the durability of quartz, it allows me to get the proper depth and impressions of the tools that I use on leather. I was able to snag this sink cut out remnant from a local countertop store! This saved me the trouble of having to purchase a stone work slab and it re-purposed what would have been thrown away! Turning something old into something new! That's the name of the game :)
