Better late than never…🙂

A few of these peonies somehow made it through spring without getting their official introduction. As we wrap up our first growing season, we'd like you to meet:

• Bowl of Cream
• Scrumdidilyumptious
• Duchesse de Nemours
• Claire de Lune
• Buckeye Belle
• And one crazy yellow peony we didn't order... but it was a fun surprise!

Our fall order is officially in, and we can't wait to add a few new varieties to the field.

We’ll be trading peonies for bees for a little while, now that it’s honey season, and before long it'll be time to start planting again.

Thank you to everyone who supported our little farm this year. We truly appreciate it!

Today I'm making a batch of peony jelly for myself, and it's too good not to share the recipe with you so you can do the same! This light floral jelly is delicious on crackers, biscuits, and toast. A big thank you to Meant to Bee & Bloom for the beautiful peony ❤️

Recipe
- 4 heaping cups of peony petals
- 4.5 cups water
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (1 lemon)
- 4 cups sugar
- 1 box pectin (4 tbsp)

- Place petals in a large, heat proof container and pour 4.5 cups boiling water over them
- Cover and let sit for 15 minutes to several hours (the longer they brew, the stronger the flavor)
- Drain and pour 4 cups of the infused water in a large pot
- Add lemon juice & pectin
- Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally
- Add sugar and bring to a boil again, stirring occasionally
- Keep a rolling boil (boil that can't be stirred down) for exactly 1 minute, stir regularly
- Remove from heat and add to jars
- Allow to cool & set for 24 hours, or water process to make shelf stable

“Coral Sunset” 😍

She’s got all the WOW and isn’t afraid to show it.

This award-winning hybrid peony is loved for its vibrant color, strong stems, and the way its blooms soften through shades of coral, peach, and cream as they mature.

🤍 “Colonel Owen Cousins” 🤍

One more of the first blooms to open on our farm is Colonel Owen Cousins. He's blooming like he's been doing this for years, and he's only in his first year. 🤩

This hybrid peony is loved for its large creamy-white blooms, sturdy stems, and soft blush tones.

Next up ~ “Soft Salmon Saucer”

Soft Salmon Saucer is one of the early bloomers in our field this season, and she came out looking way fancier than a first-year plant has any right to.

This hybrid peony is loved for its soft salmon-pink blooms, delicate appearance, and dreamy coloring. Not too shabby for a first-year bloom!

🔆 Meet “Sunny Girl” 🔆

One of the first blooms to open on our farm is Sunny Girl. She's blooming like she's trying to win a county fair ribbon, and she's only in her first year. 🤩

This hybrid peony is loved for its big, soft yellow blooms, sturdy stems, and sweet fragrance. We can't wait to see what she does next year!

Finally Spring and looking good! ❤️
