Hello everyone!
This is Felicia aka the minnow lady. I’ve been debating about 3 weeks on whether to put this on the business page. It’s a tough one. But I just can’t reach out to everyone personally so I’m gonna give it all to you straight. I apologize for having to do so on this venue.
On July 18 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer which has mestaticized into liver cancer and will likely go on to become lung cancer. The oncologist gave me a prognosis of 6-9 months without chemo, 15 months at best with chemo. I had one round of chemo. Went last Monday for round two and I wasn’t well enough to receive it. I was admitted to the hospital for 7 days.
This is a terminal condition but God does still work miracles and if it’s not His plan for me to receive one I’m content with going to Heaven. 😊 You are not just customers to us. Most of you are now regulars and have become friends and family to us. We love everyone that crosses our path in life and that includes each of you.
The future of the store is not doomed. I won’t be able to be there very much anymore myself as the chemo depletes me so badly for the beginning of the week but I plan on remaining open on Fridays and Saturdays for now until we can find someone to fill the void (at very little pay). I’ve always made a promise this business would not close to all who told us they hoped we would stay. July 31 we will have been here for two years. I’m doing my best to keep that promise. We may be small but southeast Missouri needs us. Our customers come from Stoddard, Dunklin, New Madrid, Scott, Pemiscot, Butler, Ripley, Wayne and Cape Girardeau counties. We have a very wide reach and I have no intention of letting anyone down. I apologize for the closures during the week but just remember we still have your back on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and any weeknight after my husband gets home from work. God bless each of you and know that each of you are loved by us.
Sincerely, Felicia and Robert Wyatt
