Hi, I’m Jack Small. I’ve been a guitar player for six years, and I’m very passionate about the instrument. My hope is that it would give someone inspiration to pick it up and explore the vast world of music.
A lot of my focus for teaching is that I could help give anyone an ear and an understanding—whether that’s the absolute basics or more advanced concepts.
I’ve spent a lot of time diving into understanding the melody of songs so that my students might be able to learn how to play their favorite songs. On their own, they can understand the structure that most every song is based on. That way, they have the key to unlocking how to think like a musician. But I teach how to use basic music theory to guide my students’ ear to a successful interpretation of whatever they’re trying to play!
I love to teach and am very excited to share!
