My name is Emerald, I am from Montana but moved to ND in 2013. We started rabbits after our first mix farm store bun had kits, raised them up and then decided it would be a fun hobby for my son & I. So upon researching breeds in our state and area, I fell in love with the Dutch. We drove 3hrs for our first doe and I picked up my first sweet buck on my way home from Montana. Ours have done well for

4H youths & some are family pets. It was when my family & I were down in Colorado on vacation that I decided on Silver Foxes, never had I seen one in person. But I knew I wanted a second breed & decided that a rare heritage breed would be challenging. But I absolutely adore both breeds & are hoping to eventually feed our family & dogs consistently.

Lots of SF does joined the herd this summer. Hopefully we can get some grown out and paired up with my bucks this fall.

Growing out some Jr litters, but in the heat they don't grow as quickly as the cooler months.

Ya'll, I was watering my garden and seen a rabbit hopping to some tall grass against the fence...
I don't know if it was an escapee or a cottontail 👀
Now ima be cutting down grass and weeds this week to see ifs its mine 😅
I have not tended the weeds at all, and some are taller than I am 🫣

Buck I've been hiding in the corner with the orb weaver spiders. He needs some practice posing as he was pushing forward. This video was him fully laid out. Will drop his photos in the comments.
Lacking in weight at 7.12 # for 5 months [21wk] old but given the heat we've had everyone is eating less pellets.
