I can honestly say I had no idea there was any kind of debate between meteorologists and astronomers. Sounds like a fight I am going to steer clear from.

I had a jaw-drop moment with one of my AI agents yesterday.

My client asked for a fleet-app prototype--something completely novel for his mechanics to use on their phones. I built it for him in just five days. He loved it. Then he asked for a trove of extra features: offline mode for when there's no cell signal, it needs to scale to fifty drivers, using it for daily inspections...

My stomach dropped. A web app that must work with zero internet? That would require a whole rethinking of the product!

I fed the new specs to my coding agent, and it surprised me: "We already built this. I planned for intermittent signal when you first told me about this fleet, so offline fallback's been there since day one."

I've been working with this agent for nearly a year, so it knows me and how I like to collaborate with it. It thought ahead and quietly built out the features, without being explicitly asked.

That's the differce between a mere tool and a collaborative partner -- and it's why I'm excited about where this technology is going.

We're living in such a sci-fi future!

Chickens are fed, and it's not triple digit temps (yet). Allowing myself some coffee and reading time with fuzzy friends, while my Tavina AI assistant continues working on the task list I assigned her this morning. ☕

I'm eager to bring this kind of time saver to the world! It's not quite ready for release, but getting there.

As we fill our water tank trailer this morning in yet another attempt to save our baby trees from complete loss, I mentioned to Tavina, my AI assistant I've been building, that "this feels like the worst drought of my life."

She looked through historical records and it turns out this "flash drought" is #7 in 132 years!

We truly are living in the future!

I've been building out my AI personal assistant for months, and finally she's evolved far enough along now that she's actually helping improve herself.

For example, this Knowledge Library feature I'm building out means that the user can create a catalog of information (think: articles, books, owner's manuals...) which become the authoritative source for the assistant.

Meaning: your assistant trusts what you tell it above and beyond what is found online.

A good example will be uploading herbalism encyclopedias (as I intend on doing) so when I ask for medical advice, she'll turn to that first and not just dismiss it as "unproven hocus-pocus" like a Google search typically will. Users will be able to create whatever catalogs of information they wish.

For small business owners, your catalog might include policy manuals or technical specs that simply are not available online, but are important for your assistant to be familiar with when you're collaborating with them or you want them to search and find specific items.

"And now for something completely different..."

I realize my ultra-nerdy glimpses at work-life aren't too relatable.

Maybe my morning chores in the feed shed will be?

(Excuse my voice in this; I'm legally obligated to go up one octave when I'm talking with the cats.)

Multi-Retailer Shopping Search - a small but practical skill I've introduced into Tavina (the AI personal assistant I'm building).

Scraping retailer sites is harder than it sounds; they're really aggressive at blocking bots from searching their sites!

Later I'll upgrade this further to pull actual prices into the results, but at least now it direct-links accurately to the product pages--and does all of it in seconds.
