These are my grandparents, and I made this Illuminated Legacy Piece for my mom.

They were both educators, and my grandfather was also a principal. I layered Matthew 5:16 behind their portraits because they spent their lives being a light to the people around them.

I wanted to create something that held more than just their picture but something that carried their faith, their love, and the legacy they left our family.

This one is staying home with mom. But pieces like it are available.

Remember those plain glass blocks we said were about to become something badass? 🖤

Yeah. We meant it. Our Illuminated Legacy Glass Blocks!

Engraved glass. Hand built cedar frame. App controlled color changing lights. And a whole lot of trial and error to get here.

This was just the first one across the finish line, and I think it’s safe to say these are officially staying in the Petals & Pistons lineup. 😮‍💨🔥

We have several more designs and trust me… you haven’t seen the best part yet. 🖤

Planing cedar and getting everything ready for our next round of builds. Same hands, same craftsmanship just now with a little more horsepower behind production.

One we somehow never got around to posting.

Turkey Creek Marina has become one of our family’s favorite places to spend a summer day hanging out at the beach, letting the kids play, and grabbing a drink (or 2) and some food at the marina bar.

We made this custom engraved, lighted mirror for the marina, and now it gets to hang out at the bar even when we’re not there. 🍹

I absolutely love how this one turned out especially seeing their crew all lit up. There’s just something extra fun about making something for a place that already holds some good memories for our family. 🤍

These custom bar keys are just another example of what we mean when we say if you can dream it up, there’s a pretty good chance we can engrave it.
