Let's Play a game... it is called what has my son Daniel came home with today (after a very special delivery which we will share with you tomorrow), here is a preview!

PS: I wouldn't let him take a picture of me in my gown this time. He had way to much fun that.

Every piece that passes through our doors lived a whole life before it reached us.

We often find ourselves wondering about its journey:

Was this clock a prized wedding gift? Did someone save up for months to buy this sideboard? Who sat in this chair, and what conversations did it witness?

For us, that’s always been the heart of the antiques world, standard history is written in books, but the personal stories, the forgotten daily moments, and the emotional value people attached to these objects are preserved right in the grain of the wood and the patina of the metal.

We know everyone in this community is drawn to
vintage and antique pieces for different reasons, and we’d love to know yours. What’s your absolute favorite part of the process?

Is it The Hunt, The thrill of the search, digging through estate sales, flea markets, and dusty attics for a hidden gem.

Is it The Preparation, The quiet, but rewarding work of researching history, carefully restoring or cleaning, and styling a piece to shine again.

Is it The Sale, Connecting a cherished piece with its next owner, knowing it’s heading to a home where it will be loved all over again?

Or is it The Story, Uncovering the history, imagining who owned it, what it meant to them, and how it was used in daily life?

Drop a comment below and tell us which part gives you that special feeling that you love the most about antiques!

The little fella Noah James Tough in this picture is very near and dear to us! Last year he received a liver transplant at Children's of Alabama and we cannot begin to say enough about how much Ronald McDonald House helped Shelby and family during his extensive stay(s) in the hospital.

If you eat at McDonald’s, please consider rounding up! Every little bit helps families everyday!
