We started making soap years ago. It took a lot of trial and error to perfect the recipe. It was worth the work and effort it took to get it just right. ♥️

Clean candles make a difference.

Miranda’s Story
In May 2017, Sycamore and Willow was created. We made "natural" candles with our soy wax and phthalate free fragrance oils. I promoted our candles as a healthier option. I felt good when I burned them in my home because I was doing something really good for my family. I felt good when I sold them because I was giving others a healthier option. Our business grew and I was loving every minute. I was just about to graduate my youngest from our homeschool and then I could really devote more time to our business.

I noticed that I kept having weird health issues. Just little things. Then I started getting migraines. Not the normal migraines that I have gotten since high school. These were debilitating, landing me in the hospital migraines. It was horrible. I would only be able to go a few hours and then I was back in bed. So many nights Brian would massage my head and neck until I feel asleep because that was the only thing that would ease the pain. I was in the hospital 3 times in 2 months. I was given morphine for the pain and that did nothing. It was just terrible.

We tried to figure out a cause and nothing had changed. We examined everything, All my blood work came back fine. We were at a loss.

It was January 2021...We were on our typical after Christmas break. Brian noticed that I hadn't had a headache in a few days. Interesting. I did A LOT of research and realized that our "natural" candles weren't really all that natural. I never made another candle with fragrance oil again and I started working on ridding our home of anything with fragrance. Those headaches never came back.

Our business took a HUGE turn and I'm so glad that it did. We will never sell anything that we do not feel safe to use ourselves. We do extensive research on each and every ingredient that we use in our products. You can trust us and our products. Always.

We had a lot of testers before we came out with our beard oil. Husband tested. Brother tested. Uncle tested. Friend tested. It’s been tested and approved!

Candles that are good for you? Yep. That’s what we do here. After a lot of health issues and even more research we landed on the best combination of natural, sustainable soy wax, pure essential oils and non-toxic cotton wicks. The perfect candle. ♥️
