You ever stop and think about how wild it is that you’re actually living something you once dreamed about? Like, hell yeah... I get to build Rage Goods, make cool s**t, create scents you all love, show up at markets, and turn this weird little idea into something real. And holy s**t, I’m so grateful.

BUT ALSO, WHAT THE ACTUAL F**K AM I DOING?! WHY IS THERE SO MUCH TO DO?! WHY AM I THE CEO, THE MAKER, THE MARKETER, THE ACCOUNTANT, THE SHIPPING DEPARTMENT, AND THE ENTIRE HR TEAM?! WHYYYYYYYY. 😭

Sometimes the dream is beautiful and amazing. Sometimes the dream is me crying over wax melts while surrounded by 27 things I still need to make. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, but probably gonna cry about it tomorrow. Like treat yourself to that little menty b, girl... you earned it! 🤣

LONG POST | PRICING | BIG SORRY

Not to beat a dead horse, but we all know how much inflation is impacting our lives right now... I feel it, you feel it, Rage Goods feels it.

Something I haven't done in 2 years (shamefully) is reevaluate my product costs. Well, as you'd expect... it's not great. 🫠 I've been running on cost margins evaluated nearly 3 years ago and somehow managed to maintain my pricing this whole time. Unfortunately, I can't keep doing that. Effective immediately, I've adjusted my prices online. You'll see those changes happening at my storefronts a little slower since I have to go in and manually update everything.

I know we're all in this s**t storm together, and I'm sorry. I don't take my role lightly in making sure I'm handcrafting HIGH QUALITY products and providing top-notch customer service. But to keep the lights on, I have to make this pivot.

I feel the financial squeeze, too, and I've been trying to spend more intentionally with small businesses. For me, the quality and care are worth the cost. It makes sense to me for a small business making candles in an extra bedroom to charge $40 when you consider the time, materials, and work that go into it versus mass production.

I never take for granted that you choose to spend your hard earned money with Rage Goods. Your support is what keeps this passion alive, and I appreciate you all more than you know. So again, I'm sorry for the price increases, but I want to keep making the products you love without sacrificing quality. Thank you for sticking with my weird little business. I love all my little Rockstars and appreciate you! 🫶

EVENTS | HOLIDAYS | SUPPORT SMALL BIZ
We're officially in full winter + holiday mode over here, finalizing our Winter Collection! You can get first access October 24–25 in Sycamore and then it will be available online starting Nov 1st.

We also have our updated event schedule here so you can find us out and about and catch us in person. Pay special attn that we've got something SUPER exciting planned for Black Friday + Small Business Saturday.

This holiday season, let's all try to do a little better about keeping our dollars in our own communities. Shop small, support local, and show up for the little businesses doing their best to make a living and bring something that means something to the community. When we shop local our hard earned dollars go further vs large corporations, and there's a pretty good chance you know the person behind the scenes running their own little s**t show. 🤣

Every purchase, share, recommendation, and bit of support makes a difference. Let's make this holiday season count for our small businesses and local communities. 🤘

We use an in-house curated wax blend that took us almost a year of testing to develop the ratio we liked best. We blend them so that one wax doesn't have to do all the work. Each wax brings something different to the finished candle and we chose them intentionally to get the texture, fragrance throw, stability, and burn performance we're looking for.

One wax we left out of our products was paraffin, based on our preference and research, we felt that a petroleum-derived wax wasn't the right fit for the type of products we wanted to create. For us, it's about being intentional with what goes into our products and being able to stand behind the choices we make.

There are plenty of resources out there if you want to dig deeper into paraffin, petroleum-derived waxes, and the concerns people have raised about them. Do the research, look at the sources, and decide what matters to you.

Sorry not sorry? But I have a hard time believing that I received 12 genuine scent sample orders all within 15 minutes... 🧐 THAT'S SUSPICIOUS

Pretty doesn't always mean practical. We used to decorate our candles with glitter, but we don't anymore. When you're lighting something on fire, quality and safety matter more than making it look cute.

We'd rather focus on what actually belongs in a candle: wax, wick, fragrance, and a proper burn. Quality over vibes.

Okay, let's talk about the “essential oils = healthier” thing. Essential oils can absolutely have benefits when used appropriately. But natural doesn't automatically mean safer or better to burn.

A candle is literally a chemical reaction involving heat, fuel, and oxygen, so how a fragrance behaves when heated matters. Essential oils can have benefits. Lighting them on fire might not be one of them.
