We are so honored and excited to share that we were recognized for our refill model by the California Product Stewardship Council with the Infinity Arrow Award! We truly believe this recognition belongs to all refill stores! 🫙🥳🎉

By reusing and refilling, we are keeping so many containers out of the waste stream, and YOU are part of this awesome award too! Rob and I say it all the time, we couldn’t do what we do without you!

Wondering what CPSC is? They help educate both the public and private sectors about EPR (extended producer responsibility) and Product Stewardship, and are close partners with businesses, jurisdictions, waste and recycling companies, manufacturers, and others to promote and encourage sustainable practices and to recognize those companies who are taking a leadership role in participating in waste reduction and recycling.

If you’re ready to join hundreds of others who ditched the nasty, plastic, highly toxic dryer sheets and start doing laundry with cute dryer balls that reduce drying time and static, this message is for you!

Did you know dryer sheets are toxic to our pets? I googled this so you wouldn’t have to. Yep, the chemicals in them are bad for our furry friends.

How about for humans? Don’t sniff your laundry while it’s drying, VOCs are released from these suckers. And they coat our clothes with chemical residues and artificial fragrances that can cause irritation...no thank you!

Do they last long? Heck yes! We’ve been using ours for years and are still going strong. Since they are made from wool, they are home compostable at the end of their life too!

Let’s have fun doing laundry instead of harming ourselves and the environment 😘

At Refill Mercantile, you can find locally sourced and made dryer balls, vegan dryer balls made from bamboo, and these fun ones made by underprivileged women paid a fair wage.

We are open every day but Tuesday, 11 am - 6 pm located downtown Petaluma!

We love it when people find us and see all of the awesome products in the shop! 🤩

The shop is full of minimally packaged, highly effective products without all the crap some of the big brands choose to use AND we have the refill station where you can reuse those containers to fill everything from laundry, dish, and hand soaps to personal care products.

Stop in and WOW at everything, and feel free to ask all the questions. Zero judgment here. We want to meet you where you are at on your low-waste journey, whether you’re just starting out or are a pro, we got you! 😘
