We are still big fans of the written planner here at the bookshop (there is just something about that handwriting to brain connection!) and Leuchtturm1917’s planners are our favorites. We love the quality, the clear and simple formats, and the beautiful covers. The challenge is that Leuchtturm1917 offers so many colors, sizes, and formats that we cannot begin to carry their entire line. And planners are a very personal thing indeed. We have decided to try something new this year and take pre-orders for Leuchtturm1917 planners — which will allow YOU to browse their entire selection and choose the planner that best suits your needs, while still supporting Sojourn Booksellers with your purchase. This will not be placing an order online — we ask that you peruse Leuchtturm1917’s website and note the item(s), cover style, size, and color that you would like to order through Sojourn. You will then need to type this information into an email and send it to us (you may also write it down and drop it off at the shop). The pricing will be identical to what you see online — just add sales tax (you will not pay shipping costs). We will personally reply to your email to confirm we received your pre-order and then add your order to the larger order we will place directly with Leuchtturm1917 in early September. You may include any items available on the Leuchtturm1917 website (such as pen loops or journals). Caveats: we cannot offer personalization at this time and you will need to be able to pick up your item(s) at the bookshop (we do not ship). We will be bringing in a very small selection of 2027 planners this season, so we strongly recommend pre-ordering to get exactly what you’d like.
Our lovely patrons always ask for more ways they can support the shop — this is one. Pre-ordering with us allows you to get exactly the item(s) you want, still purchase from us, and helps reduce excess inventory at the end of the year.

It’s a magical day when the postman delivers not one, not two, but FIVE letters from pen pals to local letter writers participating in The Sunday Letter Project and using Sojourn Booksellers as their Letter Keeper. If you haven’t yet heard of The Sunday Letter Project — the project (started at Wildflower Illustration Co. stationery shop in Cheltenham, England) both encourages participants to commit to regularly writing and sending handwritten letters AND has a global network of locations that allow participants to find real old-fashioned pen pals (see the global map of Letter Keeper locations at The Sunday Letter Project website ). We’ve restocked our perennially popular line of Flexbook eco journals and sketchbooks — including their newest offering of journals in shimmery Gold, Silver, and Arctic Blue, made from real apples!
