Things are getting a little strange at Gathered & Grown. 🦇✨

I made it up to the booth for a good rearrange, and we have entered my favorite time of year: when pretty things and weird things get to live together!

I brought in a whole batch of Halloween earrings — bats, skulls, ghosts, eyeballs and assorted tiny oddities — and Mother Nature has officially moved in for the season.
She’s a one-of-a-kind handmade headpiece covered in flowers, feathers, butterflies, mushrooms, little creatures and lights, because obviously Mother Nature would not believe in restraint. 😂 Come on in and try her on!

There are lots of new earrings to dig through, Beaded Botanicals, fresh zinnia vases, suncatchers, vintage bits and ephemera and all the usual Gathered & Grown chaos, with more spooky things coming soon!

In 2019, we spent Halloween in Cabo San Lucas, and I went as Mother Nature. 🌿✨

I made my own headpiece for the occasion, and then proceeded to wear that thing all over town. 😂 We walked for miles that night, celebrating Halloween with locals and other tourists, wandering through the streets, and having one of those rare, absolutely magical nights that stays with you.
So recently, I was thinking about that night and how much fun it was to wear something completely ridiculous and beautiful just because I could…

…and I thought, I should make another one.

So I did. 🌿🍂✨

This one is different, and way more manageable to wear, but it has the same spirit: a wearable piece of flowery magic

And yes… it actually goes on your head. 😂

So if you’re putting together a Halloween costume—or just have somewhere you feel requires an enormous enchanted forest on your head 😂—hit me up!

And if you love it but need a little more of a certain color or something added to make it work with what you’re wearing, I’m happy to customize it a bit for you. 🌿✨

Because I can tell you from experience: wandering around all evening dressed as Mother Nature with a fabulous mess of flowers on your head is an EXCELLENT way to spend a night. 😂

Good Morning! There are 2 fresh zinnia vases in the booth at The Southern Mercantile today and each one comes with a sample sized bottle of Crowning Glory, which is a floral antitranspirant spray. You mist it lightly on your fresh cut flowers and it helps the flower retain its moisture so you get to enjoy them longer!
There are also plenty of the bottles for sale in different sizes:
The sample size is $2.50 for .34 oz
$6 for 2 oz
$10 for 8oz ( in a glass bottle. The rest are plastic)
$12 for 5 oz

We like to reuse things, so if you enjoy the product and want a refill, you’ll get $1 off on the 2 smaller sizes and $2 off of the larger 2 sizes.

Garden update 🧚🏼
The zinnias and sunflowers are going crazy and I planted even more zinnias!
The moonflower on the arch is struggling, but the patch I planted in a bed is doing well ( bouncing back after a caterpillar feast)
Lots of cucumbers and red peppers and a few tomatoes.
And check out my little pond! Almost ready to invite the bats over.
