Currently obsessed with Alocasia ‘Mickey Mouse’… but am I the only one who sees French bulldogs instead? 🐶🌱.

This is my Regal Shield Albo — arguably my favorite plant in my entire collection and also my very first alocasia.
When I first won this little guy, it was a $400 plant with two gorgeous leaves and a third unfurling. It was thriving—pushing out a fourth leaf and even producing corms. Then things took a turn.

As new leaves came in, older ones started dropping. Everything I read pointed to it being root-bound and losing leaves because the plant was prioritizing new growth… so I repotted it.
BIG MISTAKE.

Almost every leaf died back, leaving me with just one. This plant was my baby, so I went deep into research mode. As I learned more about alocasias, I began to realize two major issues: it was nutrient-deficient and it needed way more light than I was giving it.

I switched up my care, started experimenting with organic nutrient sources, and slowly but surely, it began to respond. I’m finally seeing new growth at the base again. I was even able to save one corm—and it has already begun to sprout.

If you look at the last photo, that’s what a Regal Shield Albo can become with proper, experienced care. I wasn’t there yet, but I’m getting there.
Plants really are a journey. Once you keep your first one alive, it becomes addictive—you start learning your style, your rhythm, and which plants truly match your lifestyle.

✨ Variegated Harrisia “Queen of the Night” – Rare Collector Cactus! ✨
Price: $115 (open to offers)

This is a fully rooted, established variegated Harrisia Queen of the Night cactus — and it’s truly a plant you almost never see available. The variegation is real and visible, especially toward the base, giving it that beautiful yellow/cream marbling that makes variegated Harrisias so highly sought after.

🌙 Why it’s called Queen of the Night:
In spring/summer, this cactus produces LARGE, stunning, fragrant white blooms that open only for a few hours at night. They’re absolutely magical to witness — and each bloom lasts just one night, making it a special event every time.

🌿 Plant Details:

Fully rooted and healthy

About 10–12 inches tall

Visible variegation (true genetic variegation, not sun stress)

Fast grower and easy care

Extremely hard to find, especially in variegated form

This is an amazing chance to own a rare, one-of-a-kind cactus that you simply can’t walk into a store and buy. Perfect for collectors or anyone wanting a statement plant with jaw-dropping night blooms.

Asking $115, open to reasonable offers.
First come, first served — once it’s gone, it’s gone!

Here’s a little one-week update on my Monsteras & Florida Beauty! 🌿✨
Care tip: Keep them in bright, indirect light and make sure the soil stays slightly moist — not soggy! They love humidity, so a little misting or a humidity dome can help encourage new growth. 💚
