Fresh produce may be questionable this week, but fresh flowers are still good for you 🌸 If the news has you overwhelmed, try bringing a little beauty home. Bouquets are at Native Cafe today, filled with snapdragons, globe thistle (prickly and purple like our air quality 😢), double click and cupcake cosmos, Dara, mountain mint, black eyed Susan’s, hydrangea, and more. I’m thankful that only our air quality has been affected here, but it’s hard not to wonder when we will prioritize addressing climate change.

Need some pep in your step today? Me, too 🫠

Pop into Native cafe, soak in the soundtrack, smell the incredible smells, and eat and drink something delightful. Oh - and bring home some locally grown flowers.

After you peruse the menu, peep the flowers in this cute little shortbread tin (& take a moment to appreciate that rose lily 😍). This tin was in our hotel room in Scotland, filled with the most incredible cookies. Our only souvenir (besides a big boot my poor husband wore home after his Achilles tendon ruptured 😑)

Recovery update: Flora is doing well after her spay.

Her bougie, big-girl princess bed, however, didn’t make it 😂😭😂 When I greeted her this morning I found she had created her very own summer snow cloud, and appears to have exactly zero regrets. Sigh.

Spay day for my little farmhand, Flora! She’s home and settled into her little princess bed. Maaaaaybe while she’s med-mellowed she’ll decide she CAN have nice things, and I won’t be forced to order her an ugly “chew proof” bed like Chip Leaver keeps suggesting 😆

Perfect Strawberry Moon evening - a stick and sniff time with Flora in the field (checking out the deer and their babies with sweet deference), fresh summer dinner out on the patio with kids, friends and grandkids who swam and played soccer until that gorgeous moon rose and lit up the sky. Hope you all got out to see her rise, too! So thankful ❤️
