🌞Summer break is here🌞 And you know what that means...no more school breakfasts or lunches that some kids depended on. Consider donating items that kids can heat up or make themselves while they are on break.
Easy Mac and Cheese
Snack Crackers
Fruit Cups
Fruit or granola bars
Cereal
Peanut butter and jelly

🚫And a friendly reminder that any expired food will be pitched. If it's out of date but still good consider giving it away on a free cycle group or to someone who doesn't mind. Just because someone is visiting the pantry doesn't mean they should be offered expired or repackaged food.

🥰Thank you for those who donate books and food items to our little boxes. It's such a joy to see families out getting a book or some food while they stop to play checkers.

A friendly reminder to not place expired food in box. If you have expired food that you think is still usable consider posting it to a free cycle group or on your neighborhood page. Thank you for your understanding!

The little blue box is now back to books only and all food for the free pantry should go in the Purple People Feeder.

A little peek at what is currently in the box.
✨If you are bringing food to donate please keep in mind:
🚫Do not donate expired food.
✔️Consider donating items that do not require additional ingredients to prepare (for example donate Mac & cheese that comes with a cheese packet instead of one that needs milk and butter to complete)
🥫Shelf stable products are perfect for our blessing box. If you have more perishable items you want to donate consider taking them to the food bank.
