We are so proud to be a Jazz Festival sponsor this year!

🎊 Attention please! 🎊

We’re pleased to welcome Yellowhouse Gallery as a Quarter Note Sponsor of this year’s Duck Jazz Festival AND we’re grateful to have them supporting the festival for the first time!

Located in the beautiful Duck Waterfront Shops, SeaDragon & Yellowhouse features local art and photography, American fine craft, and work from artisans throughout the country. Their collection is thoughtfully selected with an emphasis on design, craftsmanship, and beauty, with much of the work created by hand.

Thank you to SeaDragon & Yellowhouse for supporting the Duck Jazz Festival and the local arts community. We appreciate having you with us this year! Be sure to check them out next time you are in Town!

Did you know that September 22nd is National Elephant Appreciation Day?! Here at the SeaDragon and Yellowhouse Galleries elephants hold a special place in our hearts. Our artist in residence Eve Trow Turek has traveled to Africa and has several elephant photos available in the gallery. Our wonderful artist, Tammy Stuart brings us special glass elephants that grace our displays.

Elephants hold deep cultural, spiritual, and historical significance across the globe, universally symbolizing strength, wisdom, and longevity. Wearing or displaying an elephant motif—especially with its trunk raised upward—is widely embraced as a protective talisman for attracting good luck and prosperity.

The elephant is used as a symbol for Alzheimer's disease because of the popular proverb "an elephant never forgets," representing both the memory retention of healthy elephants and the memory loss experienced by people with the disease.
