The Bookstore at Fitger's looked at the wrong line on the calenar and realized we don't want to wish time by. Tomorrow, Sept 19 author Steven Lang will be at our bookstore signing copies of "The Art of Falling Apart". He will be here from noon until 2pm. Again, sorry for the confusion.

Tuesdays are when new books come out and we were busy putting books away yesterday. Today we can take a small breath and showcase some of the titles that came in. A lot of fans of Kristin Hannah will be pleased that "The Women" is now in paperback. We also have signed Indie Exclusive copies of "Exit Party" by Emily St. John Mandel.

Happy Birthday Agatha Christie! Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Mallowan was born on September 15, 1890. She is known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short-story collections, particularly those revolving around fictional detectives Hercule Poirot, Tommy and Tuppence, and Miss Marple. The Bookstore at Fitger's has a fair selection of Agatha Christie novels to explore.

He’s definitely number one in peppering the Northwoods with bodies and the snapping ricochet of gunfire, but now is the season to investigate this claim for yourself, not just because God’s Country, the 22nd Cork O’Connor novel, came out this August but because some very big-deal streaming-platform Hollywood types have recently been touring around the Arrowhead and North Shore with Krueger. If all goes well, Boundary Waters–adjacent Minnesota might just succeed Fargo as the 21st-century face of Northern crime, to feed our justice-in-the-snow-loving hearts.
