in Kentucky for Logan Beach, and there’s a super cool story to go along with it. 🏹🩸
Logan watched this buck all summer with his , but with no consistent pattern, he never planned to target the buck. While hunting another buck on opening weekend, Logan and his wife, Kaylin Smith Beach, set up just a few trees away from one another. Kaylin had a recurve, and Logan had his compound.
Around 6:30 PM on Sunday, the buck neither of them expected to see appeared and made his way within 10 yards of the two. With no discussion on who was claiming “dibs” on the buck, Logan watched him for quite some time before realizing Kaylin had no intentions of drawing her bow, so he decided to take the opportunity.
The buck eventually made his way to 30 yards, and Logan decided it was time to make his move. One shot later, the buck was down.
After getting a closer look, they realized just how impressive this buck really was. With several encounters and multiple years of history with him, it made for one heck of an unexpected opening weekend harvest.
