It's quite a process to get from picture number one to picture two which shows both a 25" and 30" LEGACY Custom Reel Mower. We've been happy to show you the progression as this year's mowers have been fabricated. Spring has arrived early this season and we have plenty of new, rebuilt, and preowned residential reel mowers on the showroom floor. So here is the final product......the 30" LEGACY is designed to mow large, mostly level, turf grass lawns (zoysia and Bermuda grass). It is the only reel mower of its size with a locked reel-to-cutter bar adjustment. Meaning, unlike "golf course" mowers, it is designed for weekly mowing as well as the scalping or low-cut that we recommend residential customers do in the springtime. If you're interested in your lawn having the look of a professional baseball field or golf course then a reel mower is for you.

30" LEGACY after the reel, front roller, and height adjustor assembly have been installed. All of the major chassis systems are now complete leaving just a few steps to go. Engine installation will be next.

30" LEGACY systems assembly. The picture on the left shows the components that make up the mower's main drive axle and clutch assembly. The picture on the right was taken after the drive axle had been assembled, painted, and installed in the mower. This system (which will be chain driven by the Honda engine) provides the driving force for the reel and drive roller (propulsion). While fairly basic in design, it is extremely durable, proven, and will not "slip" as the reel cuts tuff/deep turf grass.

Initial assembly is now finished. All of the handle bar sets have been bolted to the frames resulting in complete LEGACY...

Initial assembly is now finished. All of the handle bar sets have been bolted to the frames resulting in complete LEGACY chassis. Next week we'll begin building and installing the operational systems of the mowers. Check back for updates.
