Shari is a local artist who recently became a dedicated & obsessed quilter. This block was created from improv piecing using fabrics from her stash (with lots of fabrics we carry from ) She jumped in fearlessly into her 2nd quilt and we came up with a plan for designing it. Susan Aulie completed her amazing kit from Cherrywood Fabrics called “Upscale Plaid” - so much texture with rich colors! Cherrywood has great patterns to check out with a colorway that works for you. teamed up with Cherrywood and the word on the streets is has amazing tips on nesting seams. It was great to have Susan in the studio today renting a longarm for 4 hours!! Wonderful work as usual, Susan!! …

Sometimes I make little signs from insults I overhear about the quilts I have make. Most people have no idea the maker is within earshot. The quilt was pink orange and yellow. 🤣 still funny after 25 years.

I couldn’t decide on what photo to post because every photo I took of Heidi, was stunning and beautiful and magnificent - these two quilts have all the ingredients to make you want to start Quilt making. Something simple,something beautiful, soft and warm -that’s all you need - add cool quilting design! Heidi came in to finish her two quilts one was a low volume, and one was a charm pack for two large queens, which took her 5.5 hours to Quilt at the shop renting a long arm quilting machine. To achieve that really professional look to her quilts, she used the “Quilt glide” on Millie to achieve perfect quilting while having excellent control of her machine. Great job Heidi
