Services offered were commercial printing, typewriter and adding machine sales and service. All Printing was "letterpress", a lot of type was set by hand and the firm was waiting for delivery of its first automatic feed press. primary office equipment was the standard manual typewriter and either an hand operated or electric adding machine. The first business location was 119 W 1st. In 1957 the fi
rm moved to 322 N Main Street, The location being 25' x 140'. As the firm grew expansion included: Adding the 25'X 140' adjoining to the north; 25'X140' adjoin to the south; the one-half block west and the building of separate office machine and printing departments. The Woodward office opened in 1982, Liberal in 1986, Dalhart in 1987, Dumas and Stratford in 1995, and Las Vegas in 2002. Office supplies and furniture were added in 1957. Product lines expanded with the introduction of copying machines, Electronic calculators, typewriters, cash registers, and word processors. Letterpress printing, though still essential, was joined by offset lithography, photo typesetting and computerized composition systems. Advances in technology are definitely an advantage when utilized by people. It is the policy of Stanfield Printing Company, Inc. to offer specialize training to all personnel. Currently there are video training courses on salesmanship, technical training on office copiers and specialized courses in the fields of product knowledge. Outside training courses are encouraged. There has never been a time of greater opportunity. People are the greatest asset any firm can have.
