We have plenty fresh shelled purple hull peas today! We expect to have one more good picking Friday evening and those should last us till the middle of next week.

That will be all for the summer crop of purple hull peas.

Will post if there ends up being a fall crop later on.

We’re keeping them inside in this brutally hot weather cuz they’ve been getting overripe out there on the porch.

So come in and find your watermelons on the back isle. Just because you don’t see any melons on the porch, don’t assume we’re out.

Hi y’all 👋

Yes we’re still open and we have fresh produce.
I apologize for doing such a sorry job posting updates the last couple of weeks. It’s just that I’ve been hyper-focused on the new store building project and this is a slower time of year when I can focus on that. Will be breaking ground within a couple weeks to start plumbing and sewer work.

Thank you all for continuing to shop here while we work towards getting you a better facility. It’s been 1 year since we expanded our current facility and we’re already seeing lots of room for improvement, but we don’t plan to make any more major changes on this property. We hope to open up in the new facility in late 2027 or early 2028. Some things to look forward to: restrooms, deli, MORE SPACE, bigger parking, and nice park area with pond.

In the meantime please continue to visit our market for all kinds of fresh fruits and veggies, baked goods, frozen seafood, casseroles, pies, cheeses, butter, milk, eggs, spices, and ask kinds of specialty grocery items.

An interesting phenomenon is currently being observed in areas of southeast Arkansas.

Glittering droplets of an unidentified liquid are gently falling from the heavens. Exposed surfaces have become damp, and witnesses are even reporting small puddles in places.

Local residents are advised to remain calm. Early reports suggest this may be the long-forgotten weather event once known as “rain.”
