A Little Something From My Heart 🤍

Some very dear friends of mine are currently going through circumstances that I can only describe as unimaginable.

Out of respect for them and their privacy, I’m going to leave it at that. Some of my Long Island friends and longtime customers may know who I’m talking about.

This is one of my closest friends from high school and his wife — someone many of you may even remember from my Pindar pop-ups, where she would come help me with Sea Glass & Sunsets when I was back on Long Island. They are very special to me.

I’ve been wishing there were more I could do since I found out what they are going through, and then I realized I can at least do a little something through this business and this community that has given me so much.

From today, September 17th through the end of the month, I will be setting aside 10% of the profits from every online sale to give directly to them. 🤍

They don’t know I’m doing this. My hope is to surprise them at the end of the month with a little extra help, love and support from all of us.

So if you’ve had your eye on a piece, are starting your holiday shopping, or simply feel like treating yourself, please know that your purchase through the end of the month will also help me do something meaningful for people I love very much.

Sometimes we can’t fix what someone is going through. But we can remind them that they’re surrounded by people who care. 🤍

As I start reworking my displays and getting ready to move into a new season of markets, it’s time for a little clearing out! 🤍

I’ll be adding some items to the website that I’ve loved and used but simply don’t need anymore — including market displays and supplies, vintage bottles I’ve collected over the years, and pieces from my own closet, including new-with-tags and pre-loved clothing that is still in great condition.

It’s all part of clearing some space, simplifying, and making room for what’s next.

I’ll be adding things as I go, so keep checking back — you never know what little treasure might pop up!

I’m making some room for what’s next. 💙

As I head into another year of Sea Glass & Sunsets, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want this business to look like moving forward.

And I keep coming back to one thing: less is more.

I don’t want to feel like I need to bring tons of inventory to every market or create pieces simply because I need to fill a display.

I want to get back to the heart of why I started doing this in the first place — sitting down with a beautiful piece of sea glass, feeling inspired by it and creating whatever that particular piece is meant to become.

I’m not trying to create something for everyone anymore.

I want to create the pieces that speak to me. The ones I get excited about. The ones where I can't wait to see the idea in my head come to life.

So I'm clearing some space — literally and creatively. 💙

I've reduced quite a few pieces currently on the website, and many of these designs will not be restocked once they're gone. I'm simplifying what I bring to markets and making room for new designs and more one-of-a-kind pieces created from inspiration rather than the need to have more inventory.

So if you've had your eye on something, take another look. You may find that it's been reduced — and once some of these pieces are gone, they're gone.
