📚💗 GIVE LIKE DOLLY DAY: FREE BOOK FRIDAY! 💗📚

On Friday, September 25, Dungannon Development Commission and our two thrift stores will celebrate Give Like Dolly Day in honor of Dolly Parton’s extraordinary legacy of generosity. Dolly spent her life giving back, helping children, and inspiring them to dream big—especially through the gift of reading.

Every child may choose one free children’s book from the available selection at Dungannon Thrift Store or Mountain Treasures Thrift Store during regular store hous on 9/25. Selection varies by store, while supplies last.

No purchase or donation is required.

We’re also accepting new and gently used children’s books at either store on 9/25. Donated books will be shared with local children through DDC’s Food Bank and community programs. You can also honor Dolly’s giving spirit by taking time to read to a child.

Dream Big. Be a Doer. Donate a Book. Read to a Child.

Please share and help us spread the joy of reading!

Volunteer Spotlight: Emmalei Sexton

This week, Dungannon Development Commission is proud to recognize Emmalei Sexton, a wonderful volunteer at the Dungannon Thrift Store!

Emmalei brings her time, energy, and a great attitude to the store and is always willing to lend a hand wherever she is needed. Her dedication and hard work help keep the thrift store running and allow DDC to continue serving families throughout our community.

We especially love seeing young people like Emmalei get involved, give back, and make a difference right here at home. Volunteers of all ages are an important part of DDC and the work we do.

Thank you, Emmalei, for everything you do! We appreciate you!
