Congratulations, Vinny! ๐ค
Goshโฆmy first real introduction to Vinny was at my very first store on the corner of Grove & S. Blakely Streetโฆ17 years ago.
He became one of my very first official corporate accounts, and every holiday season since, he has trusted us to help spread a little sweetness.
Fast forward about 14 years.
Our business was growing. We were bursting at the seams in the back room (where all the magic happens โจ), and I had big dreamsโฆwith a very limited budget, to put it nicely. ๐
Then I got a phone call.
Vinny and Trip from Wayne Bank wanted to meet.
I walked into their conference room in downtown Scranton with spreadsheets, financials, projections, and enough paperwork to cover the massive conference table.
But instead of only talking numbers, they asked me something no banker had ever asked before.
โWhat are your dreams for this business?โ
They told me to write down every idea. Every whim. Every goal.
Then they said, โLetโs see what we can do and start chipping away at it.โ
They didnโt just hear me.
They listened.
And thenโฆthey believed in what could be.
Vinny (and Trip), thank you for your kindness, your professionalism, and for believing in a dream that was still taking shape.
Because of your decision in 2023, you helped open the door to the next chapter of Nibbles & Bits (And trust meโฆthe next part is pretty exciting ๐).
Iโll never forget sitting in that conference room, dreaming out loud, and realizing I had people across the table who genuinely wanted to help make those dreams happen.
Thank you for becoming part of the Nibbles & Bits story.
Congratulations, Vinny. Youโve made a difference in more lives and businesses than you probably realize, and Iโm incredibly grateful to have been one of them. ๐ค
Jim Donnelly, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank, is proud to announce the well-earned retirement of the Bankโs Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, Vinny OโBell.
