$45,000 in scholarships. An investment in a future of compassionate care.

Over the past five years, Miss North Carolina Lauryn Mallard has earned $45,000 in academic scholarships through the Miss America Opportunity, helping fund her education at both the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and High Point University.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science with triple minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Dance, followed by a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management. She is now preparing to pursue her goal of becoming a Physician Assistant, combining clinical excellence with compassionate patient care.

But the impact of the Miss America Opportunity goes beyond the classroom.

North Carolina does it again! ❤️👑

We are thrilled to celebrate Isabella DiFiore, Miss Statesville’s Teen 2026 and 2nd Runner-Up at Miss North Carolina’s Teen 2026, for finishing as the top Teen fundraiser in the entire nation for the Miss America’s Scholarship Foundation x American Heart Association Go Red for Women campaign.

Isabella raised an extraordinary $26,876, making a powerful impact for women’s heart health and representing North Carolina with purpose, passion, and heart.

As the top Teen fundraiser, Isabella will receive an unforgettable prize package that includes a trip to New York City for the American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection Concert, the opportunity to walk the red carpet, a $3,300 scholarship, a Bulova gold watch, Miss America swag, and more.

This exciting experience will give Isabella the opportunity to represent North Carolina in the national spotlight while continuing to shine a light on service, scholarship, and women’s heart health.

Congratulations also to Ava Isabella Silver, Miss Wendell’s Teen 2026, for finishing as the 6th highest fundraising Teen in the country, and Jazmine Kathuria, Miss Chapel Hill’s Teen 2026, for finishing 12th in the nation.

This also marks the second year in a row that North Carolina has led the nation in this category, continuing an incredible tradition of service, scholarship, and community impact. Last year’s national Teen winner, Delilah Claire Hadyk, Miss Ballantyne’s Teen 2026, showed our state what was possible when we rally behind our Teens, support scholarships, and champion the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association. Special thanks go out to Victoria Huggins, Miss North Carolina 2017, for leading another successful fundraising campaign with our titleholders.
