From bath, body, & home fragrances, we are uniquely your go to place for any gift all year around. Here is a little bit about our business. I started my company in March 2008. We make handcrafted bath, body, candles, and wax melts. We use all-natural oils, and butters. We use Organic products (when requested). The reason behind it was that my young son (Jayden) was allergic to everything on the market. I was getting frustrated. I was a new Mom and really didn't have anyone to talk to. I started to a lady on Myspace (yept that long ago). She was telling me about how to make your own all-natural bath and body products. After several months of her teaching me, I started making my own products. Jayden quit breaking out! My son is 16 years old and is autistic. He loves making things too! He loves make candles, soaps, bath products & much more. This is his therapy. It helps him with his social skills and he learns math doing something he enjoys.

WE’RE TAKING A LITTLE LIFE BREAK 🤍

After much thought, we’ve decided it’s time for our family and our business to take a short pause.

We have a lot of “life happenings” going on right now, our annual family vacation is just a little over two weeks away, and we’re also in the middle of remodeling. Sometimes life gets busy, and sometimes God reminds us that it’s okay to slow down, reflect, and allow Him to continue directing our steps.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” — Psalm 37:23 KJV

For the next month or so, you may not see us posting on Facebook as often—but Desert Road Artisan isn’t going anywhere! We’ll still be working behind the scenes: allowing our handmade soaps to finish curing, organizing and counting inventory, updating our website, preparing products, and getting everything ready for what’s ahead.

It’s hard to believe that it has been over 18 years since I began making soap and started what has now become our family-run business. Through every season, God has been faithful. And after all these years, I’ve learned that sometimes moving forward means knowing when to pause, pray, refresh, and let God lead the next steps.

That’s exactly what we’re doing.

And don’t worry—we’ll be back, refreshed and ready for the Holiday Season! 🎄

We’re looking forward to returning with your favorite handmade products, new creations, an updated website, and a BIG SALE once everything is cured, counted, organized, and ready to go.

For now, we’re going to enjoy some much-needed family time, finish our remodeling, work quietly behind the scenes, and get ready for the next season God has in store for us.

Meet our Soap of the Day. Pine Tar Handmade Soap. Pine Tar Soap has been a huge request because of the benefits of Pine Tar. It was one of our most difficult soaps too.

Our Pine Tar Soap has simple ingredients and essential oils for fragrance. We added Activated Charcoal, Calamine, Aloe Vera and Colloidal Oatmeal to give extra skin goodness. There's only 4 left. So hurry and grab yours today.

Fragrance Description: Essential Oils of; Orange, Eucalyptus, and Peppermint combined with the Earthly scent of Pine Tar.

Soap Ingredients: Saponified oils of; Olive, Coconut, Castor, Roundtable on Sustainable (RSPO) Palm Oil, Raw Shea Butter. Distilled Water, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye)*, Creosote-free Pine Tar, Essential Oils, Aloe Vera, Calamine, Colloidal Oatmeal, Activated Charcoal, Kaolin Clay, Salt (hardener)

Meet our Soap of the Day, Life's a Fairytale. This soap is packed with Skin-loving ingredients such as Buttermilk, Shea Butter, and Kaolin Clay. The fragrance has to be one of our new favorites. Jayden worked hard on this soap. He is down for a couple weeks due to an injury but is still trying to produce new items as he is able to.

Fragrance Description: It opens with a bright burst of juicy fruits and shimmering citrus, instantly uplifting and playful. As the scent unfolds, a soft bouquet of delicate florals, like jasmine petals and sweet peony, adds a romantic, airy elegance. The fragrance settles into a warm, comforting base of creamy vanilla, light musk, and a hint of sugared woods, wrapping everything in a soft, magical glow that lingers beautifully.

Soap Ingredients: Saponified Oils of, Sunflower, Coconut, Castor, RSPO Palm, Shea Butter, Buttermilk, Water, Sodium Hydroxide*, Phthalate Free Fragrance, Kaolin Clay (anchor fragrance and to give the bar a silky feel), Sodium Lactate (to harden the soap), Shredded Soap**, Titanium Dioxide, Mica, Cosmetic Glitter.

Happy 19th Birthday to the heart behind my desperation to find a solution for his skin. Today, that little boy turns 19 years old. Happy 19th Birthday Jayden!!!

Jayden maybe autistic but he's not let it stop him. He graduated from high school completing 4 years of JROTC. He got accepted into Liberty University which he is waiting to enroll right now. He's never gave up on anything and I know he will do great.
