This home in 27713 had a damaged section of exterior siding beneath the windows that had significantly deteriorated. Our craftsman replaced the damaged siding to close the opening and restore the exterior.
Damage like this can look relatively minor, but open or deteriorated siding can leave the materials behind it more vulnerable to moisture, pests, and continued weather exposure. Over time, that can turn a localized siding repair into a larger project involving sheathing, trim, or other underlying materials.
A few exterior warning signs homeowners should watch for:
- Loose, cracked, warped, or missing siding
- Soft or deteriorating material around windows and doors
- Gaps where siding meets exterior trim
- Bubbling, peeling, or persistent discoloration
- Openings that could allow insects or pests behind the siding
- Damage that appears or worsens following heavy rain or storms
Catching exterior damage early can often keep the scope of the repair smaller. If you spot loose siding, deteriorated trim, or an unexplained opening around your home's exterior, it's worth having it addressed before another season of weather gets to it.
