Today's flowers are headed out to help celebrate an anniversary—and really, that's a pretty wonderful reason to start the day at the flower shop.

🌷 Confessions of a Small Town Florist

While you're enjoying summer, I'm already dreaming about fall. 🍂

So I have to ask...

If you could decorate your home with flowers from only one season...

🌸 Spring, think tulips, daffodils lilac

or

🍁 Fall think, dahlias, sunflowers, chrysanthemums

Which would you choose?

I'm very curious to see which season wins! 🤍

Me??? While I love the fall season the mostest (the smell, the colors 😙🤌...tulips are in my top for flowers I love.

The goal was to enjoy an evening at the Fireman's Carnival...

The result was three boxes of baked goods from the cake wheel. 😂🎂

I'd say that's a pretty successful night.

We love these little traditions that bring our community together. ❤️

Today is a perfect day, planning for the flower shop.....

By the time one season arrives, we are already dreaming and planning about the next.
This morning, my coffee comes with thoughts of warm autumn color palettes, beautiful fall flowers, textured containers, wreathes, porch pots, and all the little details that make the season feel magical.

Every season begins long before the first flower arrives.

There is so much planning, choosing, creating, and imagining that happens behind the scenes- and honestly, it's one of my favorite parts of what I do.

We're still enjoying summer, but I have a feeling this fall is going to be something very special.🍁🍂

🌿 Flower Shop Friday

People often ask how I decide what flowers go into an arrangement.

The truth is...

I usually start with one flower.

Just one.

It might be a garden rose, a sunflower, a hydrangea, or a stem that simply catches my eye.

From there, everything else begins to fall into place.

I start thinking about texture.
Color.
Movement.
How one flower complements another.

Every arrangement tells a story, and for me, that story almost always begins with a single bloom.

It's one of my favorite parts of designing. 🤍💐

What's your favorite Sullivan County tradition or activity?

It could be something you've done for years or something you look forward to every summer.

We're pretty lucky to call this beautiful place home, and we'd love to hear what makes it special to you. 🌿🤍

What's the first thing that comes to mind?

There are 2 things I love. When I used to travel for work a lot, I would sometimes be away all week and I very vividly remember one Friday evening driving back through Colley and smelling fresh cut hay when I was going by Saxe's. One of my favorite things. The smell of fall in the air here is unmistakable. Fall season in Sullivan is THE BEST!🍂🍁

🌻 Arrangement Spotlight 🌻

We're calling this one Summer Harvest, and we can't stop looking at these colors.

Bright oranges, rich reds, raspberry tones, and pops of deep magenta pink all come together to capture what we love most about late summer. It's colorful, warm, and full of life—just like this time of year.

One of our favorite things about fresh flowers is how the color palette changes with the seasons. Every bouquet tells a little bit of the story of what's blooming right now, and we think this one tells the story beautifully.
