A few more pickups from last weekend’s card show! 🔥

Lately, I’ve been diving pretty deep into the One Piece TCG market. I’ve always been the type to zig while everyone else zags, and while the One Piece market is absolutely on fire right now, I’ve decided to take a different approach.

With Pokémon, I definitely have the “gotta catch ‘em all” mentality. 😅 But for One Piece, I’m narrowing my focus. Instead of trying to collect everything, I’ve decided to chase stamped cards.

I don’t know if they’ll end up being the best investment long-term, but there’s just something about event-stamped promos that grabs my attention more than the standard versions.

Now I’m curious…

Mission: PSA 10. 🎯

After going through the stack, I’ve finally picked out the cards I believe are worthy of chasing that elusive Gem Mint 10 designation. Now it’s time to carefully pack them up and send them off for grading. 🤞📦

I’m really hoping to see a clean run of PSA 10s when they make their way back home. I’ve also heard that having a complete sequential set of PSA 10s can bring a premium. Is that actually true, or is it just another hobby myth?

Either way… the waiting game officially begins.

Watching moments like this is what it’s all about. In the end, she let him open the pack… even after he swore he’d never open it. 😂 Sometimes those memories are worth more than what’s inside the pack.

Big shoutout to Gamer's Empyrean for the amazing service and quick turnaround!

I showed up right at opening to pick up a few things, but of course the delivery truck decided to run late. Instead of just waiting it out, the owner actually called and sat on hold for over 30 minutes trying to get an ETA on the shipment. Since I made the drive over from Mandarin, I figured I’d stick around and I’m glad I did.

Not only was I able to grab my OP-16 boxes, but I also managed to snag an EB-03 box as well. Safe to say that 30+ minute drive was absolutely worth it.

Huge thanks again to the owner and staff for going above and beyond. Customer service like that is hard to find, and it’s exactly why supporting your local card shops matters. Looking forward to coming back soon!

P.S. Shoutout to the lady and the guy who waited with me. I hope you both pulled your chase cards!
