Hello all, many of you saw my post as the new owner a couple months ago - now we'd love to post about our awesome pharmacist manager Nichole.

When asked to write a short bio, she responds:

"I have worked at Duvall Family drugs since April 2025 and have recently become to new manager! I love working in a small, tight knit community where I can recognize our patients and be able to talk about medications and their everyday lives.

We have a super solid team, with some new staff members, and we are all excited to be here to serve the community.

Outside of work, I love to read and go to concerts! Occasionally exercise LOL"

Nichole is excited to continue working on our med synchronization plan - where we line up your medications to keep trips convenient and avoid any gaps in renewing prescriptions.

I can personally vouch that I appreciate Nichole's fun environment and attention to detail. Thank you Nichole for being a great manager! -Matt

Hello Duvall!

My name is Matt Binder, I am a pharmacist and the new co-owner of Duvall Family Drugs along with my business partner Jeff Harrell.

I have been the owner of Ostroms Drug in Kenmore since 2021 and also own Bob Johnson's Pharmacy and Madison Park Pharmacy, each in Seattle.

I have been in Bothell since I was a baby, having graduated at Woodinville High School and my first pharmacy job was at Woodinville Medical Center Pharmacy while I was attending the University of Washington (but some of my best friends are Cougs). One of my proudest professional moments has been starting two scholarship funds at Cascadia College for students looking into a future in healthcare.

I am the father of an 11 year old, a 2 year old, and a 2 day old!

We are thrilled to announce we are keeping the staff on at Duvall and maybe adding a person or two. Our pharmacist Nichole will be stepping into the pharmacy manager role. Some of you may have seen former Duvall pharmacist AJ show up on some Mondays - he's been really happy to see you and help us with the transition process.

The pharmacy business has been a tough one in the past twenty years. Washington State has lost hundreds of pharmacies. Kari VanderHouwen did a great job helping Duvall Family Drugs stay open when so many others could not. We are so appreciative of her.

Independent pharmacy is a blessing and worth fighting for. We know we have happy patients and happy staff. Thank you all for your support - we look forward to continuing to earn it.

After much thought, I want to share some important news with our community.

After 32 wonderful years of owning Duvall Family Drugs, I have decided to sell the pharmacy. Serving this community has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I am deeply grateful for the trust, friendships, and support you have shared with me over the years.

I am pleased to announce that Matt Wolf Binder will be the new owner of Duvall Family Drugs, officially taking over during the first week of January. I am happy to share that our dedicated staff will remain in place, continuing to provide the same familiar faces, personalized service, and high level of care you have always known and trusted.

I am confident that under Matt’s ownership, Duvall Family Drugs will continue to uphold the values and commitment to our patients and community that have defined us for more than three decades.

Thank you to our loyal customers, incredible staff (past and present), and the entire Duvall community for being such an important part of my journey. I look forward to seeing this next chapter begin.
