👨‍🍳 We're excited to welcome Chef Darrick Tucker Jr. to Ivy Tech Lake County as our new Full-Time Culinary Instructor! Chef Tucker brings a wealth of industry experience, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to helping students discover their potential in the culinary arts.

An award-winning chef and community leader, Chef Tucker has been recognized as ACF Chefs of NWI Chef Educator of the Year and earned a silver medal at the World Food Championship Qualifier during the ACF National Convention. He is also dedicated to building strong partnerships between local high schools, Ivy Tech, and four-year hospitality programs to create more opportunities for future culinary professionals.

We’re looking for local chefs and talented home cooks to join award-winning Chef Blāque, who has been featured on Netflix, Amazon, and Food Network, for our upcoming Farmed to Fork Weekend markets!

Selected chefs will receive a $150 stipend, get the chance to cook alongside Chef Blāque, connect with our incredible community, and show off their skills using fresh, local ingredients sourced right from the market.
