From City to Country: Fulfilling a Lifelong Dream! π‘ Growing up in the city, ποΈ pets were limited, ππ but my heart always belonged to farm life. π¨βπΎπ©βπΎ Finally making it happen! However, I always longed to live on a farm like my parents did. In 2007, my dream finally came true when I purchased an 11-acre farm in Laurel County, Kentucky. Raising go
ats has been a fulfilling and rewarding experience, especially because I enjoy fresh, homemade products. During a visit from my mother, she inquired about what I planned to do with all my goat milk. I had no answer, but her reminiscing about her youth sparked my interest. She revealed that soap could be made from goat milk and that this was a family tradition that spanned three generations β from my great-grandmother to my grandmother and finally, to my mother. As I dove into recipe testing, I found myself getting more and more excited about the possibilities. The aroma of the different fragrances and essential oils coming together, and the satisfaction of the perfect goat milk soap, all fueled my determination. But with so many recipes to try, where would I start? I decided to create a plan of attack. I sorted through the recipes I had written, separating them into categories like soap, lotion, and body butter. Next, I selected a few recipes to try from each category. As I worked my way through the recipes, I took detailed notes on each one, making note of any changes I made and the results I achieved. Some recipes were a hit, while others needed a little tweaking. But through it all, I remained focused on my mission: to create the perfect products. My business journey began in 2009, selling my goat milk soap at various craft shows and festivals across Kentucky. As my business grew, I expanded my reach by setting up an online store. The satisfaction of creating a natural beauty product that leaves your skin feeling soft and free of chemicals continues to fuel my passion for soap-making.
