There is something so special about experiencing Italy with a group of women who love beauty, flowers, good food and meaningful connection.

We toured breathtaking gardens, cooked and ate with locals, cut flowers in the Tuscan hills, created floral arrangements, wandered through charming shops and made friendships and memories we will always treasure.

It was everything we hoped it would be and more, and we are going again next spring! The dates are April 19-24, 2027. 🇮🇹🌸

Shout out to you ladies! We are going to Italy again and would love to have you join us! Floral design workshop, cooking classes, shopping, gardens, beautiful accommodations (your own room) and more! Dahlias shine in any arrangement, whether they’re the main attraction or mixed with smaller, more delicate flowers. I love the simplicity of using three blooms of the same variety, but mixing different varieties in complementary colors can be just as beautiful.

For a simple arrangement:
Fill your vase with water, strip off any leaves that will sit underwater, then place three dahlias facing slightly different directions.

Sometimes just three beautiful blooms are all you need. 🤍

Basil might not be the first thing you think of when planning a cut-flower garden, but it makes such a beautiful addition to arrangements!

One of my favorites is ‘Cardinal’ basil, with clusters of dark red bracts that almost look like flowers. And, of course, having extra basil nearby for summer cooking is never a bad thing. 😉

🌱 Growing tip: Wait until the danger of frost has passed before planting. Basil is very sensitive to temperature.

✂️ Cutting tip: Cut basil in the morning and get it into water as quickly as possible. When harvested properly, it can last 3–5 days in the vase.

Beautiful, fragrant AND useful—that’s a win in my cutting garden. 🌿

Gain a lifelong skill at our centerpiece class this coming Tuesday, September 8. Learn basic skills on creating a gorgeous centerpiece that can apply to almost an arrangement you do. Our instructor, Donna is welcoming, knowledgeable and fun. We’ll be cutting out flowers from the gardens and then learning how to put it all together! No experience necessary.
