When I was a kid, I loved TCM (Turner Classic Movies Channel). My mom didn’t understand how I could prefer viewing films of the past when so many new movies were in theaters. But Dorris Day and her hats, plus a peek into a world foreign to my existence were too persuasive. (I own the entire Dorris Day and Rock Hudson Collection btw.)
With this love of film and novels, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to study film noir with Dr. Mascuch.
There’s something about the fall that has me wanting to revisit the texts that were transformed into film through the noir lens.
