Margie Mae's Holiday Decor

Margie Mae's Holiday Decor Arizona's white-glove holiday décor specialists. Some things are worth doing beautifully. Our work is not simply the hanging of lights. We care. Safety. Design.

Christmas lighting, designer trees & interior décor serving Fountain Hills, Marana, Oro Valley, Paradise Valley, Scottsdale & Tucson since 2009. At Margie Mae's Holiday Decor, we believe the holidays belong to your family, not to your to-do list. Since 2009, we have served the homes of Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, Marana, Oro Valley, and the surrounding communities as a full-servic

e luxury holiday décor partner — from initial design consultation through meticulous installation and post-season removal. It is the craft of creating an experience — custom exterior Christmas lighting, designer Christmas trees, mantle garlands, staircase décor, interior holiday styling, and wedding and event décor, all handled with the care and precision your home deserves. We leave no detail unfinished and no trace of our work behind, only the beauty itself. Margie Mae's Holiday Decor was named for our founder's mother — a pediatric oncology nurse who loved Christmas deeply and who lives on in every strand of blue C-9 lights we hang. Her legacy is the reason we do not simply install. In her honor, we proudly support Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels, a local organization that creates comfort shirts for children with chemo ports. White-glove service. Trust built over 16 years. We are not installers. We are caretakers of holiday tradition.

My grandchildren are coming in December. And every year around this time I start thinking about the tree.

Not whether to have one. About how it's designed. Whether the ornaments I love will hold up to a four year old who has never met one she didn't want to touch. Whether the garland will stay where I put it when the dog decides the living room is a racecourse.

What I've learned is that none of those questions require a compromise. The home looks exactly the way it should. The decisions that protect it just happen to be invisible.

That's the whole point. Read the full story at https://mmholidaydecor.com/kid-pet-safe-holiday-decor-for-scottsdale-homes/. 🎄

Most people think permanent lighting means roofline lights. Clip them up in November, take them down in January. Done.
What you are looking at is something different. Roofline, yes. Both gable peaks. Garage. Porch columns. Entry arch. And landscape uplighting tied into the same system. It is not a string of lights. It is a design that follows the architecture of the home.
Permanent architectural lighting gets installed once. After that it is one switch. Holidays, game nights, the Tuesday you just want the house to look right. It is always ready.
Margie Mae's installs permanent lighting throughout Marana. If you have been thinking about it, we are worth a conversation. https://mmholidaydecor.com/permanent-lighting-in-arizona/permanent-lighting-in-marana/ 🏠

There's a test I apply every time I walk into a Paradise Valley great room in December. Would I know, without being told, that someone thought carefully about this?

Most rooms announce their holiday decor. The best ones just look finished. Complete in a way the room somehow didn't feel in October.

A homeowner I spoke with recently put it better than I could. After her first custom garland was placed along her mantle, she said it looked like it had always been there. As though the room had been waiting for it.

That's the 2026 collection standard. Full story at https://mmholidaydecor.com/sneak-peek-our-new-holiday-collections/. 🎄

The part of a holiday installation most homeowners never see is the part that makes the day itself disappear.

A homeowner who'd never worked with a full-service decor company before described her first installation in six words: "It felt like nothing at all." She'd braced for something complicated. The crew came, completed the work, and left. She came home to a finished house with the Catalinas glowing behind the roofline.

That's the product of everything that happened in the months before. The design, the materials, the HOA submission, all of it handled long before anyone knocked on her door. July is when that work starts. 🎄

That room was already beautiful. Most people would have left it alone. A sunroom with Saltillo tile and French doors looking out to the yard does not need much. She knew that. She called anyway. 🎄What came back was a pencil tree that fits the height of the room without competing with it. A garland that follows the window line instead of fighting it. A palette, crimson, gold, champagne, that picks up the warm tones already in the wood and tile. Nothing was forced. Nothing was moved. The room looked the way it always should have. That is the part most people do not expect. The install does not change a home. It just finally lets it be what it was.If your home has rooms waiting for that, we would love to see them. https://mmholidaydecor.com/interior-christmas-decor-installation-in-paradise-valley-az/

Something I didn't expect when I moved to Arizona was how many evenings I'd want the house to feel like something was happening. Not just Christmas. A graduation in May, a birthday in September, a quiet Fourth of July with the grandchildren on the back patio.

What I love about the permanent lighting systems going in on Marana rooflines right now is that they answer all of it. One tap on a phone shifts the color, the mood, the whole feeling of the front of the house. You don't need a crew, a ladder, or a reason beyond wanting the evening to feel like something.

That's a different relationship with your home after dark. 🏡

Most people think of a wreath as the thing on the front door. We think of it as one piece of a home that, when we are finished, feels like it was designed all at once.
That gate wreath has crimson blooms, silver mirror balls, champagne ornaments, frosted picks, warm white lights through the base. One element. Built to belong to something larger.
What we install in a home: custom designer trees, mantle garlands, staircase decor, entryway arrangements, wreaths for doors and gates, tabletop accents. One team. One design direction. Every piece chosen for the same home, the same palette, the same feeling room to room.
If you have wondered what it looks like when nothing is mismatched, that is what we do. https://mmholidaydecor.com/interior-christmas-decor-installation-in-scottsdale-az/ 🎄

Every July I think about my grandchildren arriving in December. What I want the house to feel like when they walk in. Whether the tree is the right scale for the room. Whether the roofline tells them from the street that something special is happening inside.
Those are design decisions. And the only time they get made well is when there's no pressure attached to them.
July is that time in Scottsdale. The best holiday installs I've seen here started with a conversation this month, not in October. The difference shows in every room. 🎄

I've been in Arizona five years and December evenings in Paradise Valley still stop me. Not the holiday displays. The properties that look that way every evening. Warm light tracing a roofline that seems to go on forever. Gate columns glowing. The whole estate sitting in the dark Arizona sky like it was always meant to be seen this way.
Those aren't seasonal installs. I've looked closely enough to know the difference now.
Permanent architectural lighting on a compound property doesn't show up in November. It just never leaves. That's a different thing entirely, and it's worth understanding before the season arrives. 🏡

There's a particular kind of evening in Oro Valley in December that you don't really get anywhere else. Cool enough to light a fire. The Catalinas dark and clear on the horizon. The pool quiet, the patio still.
Most homeowners dress the front of the house beautifully and leave the backyard entirely alone. What I've watched change things for families here is bringing that same care outside, string lights across the patio cover, warm light tracing the pool edge, garland on the ramada posts.
It's the room where the season actually lives. Most people just never thought to treat it that way. 🏡
