Know What You’re Selling

There was a time when a salesperson knew every detail about the product they carried. They believed in it because they understood it. They could answer questions, explain its value, and confidently recommend it because they had experienced it for themselves.

As Christians, we are “sharing” something far more valuable than any earthly product—we’re sharing the Gospel. Yet sometimes we struggle to tell others about Jesus because we haven’t taken the time to truly know what we have.

If someone asked:

* Why do you worship the way you do?
* Why is baptism in Jesus’ name important?
* What does receiving the Holy Ghost mean?
* Why has living for God changed your life?

Could you answer with confidence?

Peter wrote:

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you…”
— 1 Peter 3:15 (KJV)

The best salespeople aren’t just repeating a script—they’re speaking from experience. Likewise, our witness is strongest when we know God’s Word and have experienced His power personally.

You don’t have to know every verse in the Bible to be an effective witness. But you should know what Jesus has done for you. You should know why you believe what you believe. When your testimony is backed by Scripture, confidence replaces hesitation.

Don’t just carry the message—know the message.

The world doesn’t need Christians who can only say, “That’s just how we’ve always done it.” It needs believers who can lovingly explain the hope that has transformed their lives.

Today, spend some time learning more about the treasure you’ve been given. The better you know the Gospel, the more naturally you’ll share it.

Finding Joy in the Little Things

“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 (KJV)

Sometimes we spend so much time waiting on the “big” blessings that we overlook the little ones God places in front of us every single day.

We pray for miracles, promotions, healing, and answered prayers—and those things matter. But while we’re waiting, God is still leaving reminders of His love all around us.

A sunrise that paints the sky.
The laughter of your children.
The smell of fresh coffee in the morning.
A kind text from a friend.
A quiet moment in prayer.
A hymn that speaks to your heart.
The peace that comes after you’ve cast your cares on Him.

Those moments may seem ordinary, but they are gifts from an extraordinary God.

The enemy loves to convince us that happiness is always one more accomplishment away, one more purchase away, or one more answered prayer away. But true joy isn’t found in what we might have tomorrow—it’s found in recognizing God’s goodness today.

If we can’t praise Him in the little things, we’ll struggle to praise Him in the big things.

Take a moment today and intentionally notice the blessings you’ve become accustomed to. Thank God for the breath in your lungs, the roof over your head, the people He has placed in your life, and the mercy that met you again this morning.

The little things aren’t little when they come from a loving Father. They are daily reminders that He sees you, provides for you, and walks with you every step of the way.

Opinions vs. Truth

“Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.” — Proverbs 23:23 (KJV)

We live in a world overflowing with opinions. Scroll through social media, listen to the news, or even sit around a dinner table, and you’ll hear countless perspectives on what is right, wrong, important, or acceptable. Opinions change with culture. They change with emotions. They even change from one day to the next.

But God’s truth never changes.

As Christians, we have to be careful not to build our lives on what people think. If we chase every opinion, we’ll constantly be changing direction. One person will tell us we’re too strict, another will say we’re too lenient. One will applaud us, another will criticize us for the very same thing.

Jesus Himself faced opinions everywhere He went. Some called Him the Messiah. Others called Him a deceiver. The opinions didn’t change who He was or the mission His Father had given Him.

Our responsibility isn’t to win every argument or convince everyone to agree with us. Our responsibility is to stand firmly on the Word of God with love, humility, and conviction.

When opinions conflict with Scripture, Scripture must always win.

So today, ask yourself:

Am I allowing people’s opinions to shape my decisions more than God’s Word?
Do I seek approval from people more than I seek to please the Lord?
Is my life anchored in truth or drifting with popular opinion?

The loudest voice in your life should always be the voice of God.

When God Is Quiet

Scripture: “Be still, and know that I am God…” — Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

There are seasons when heaven seems quiet.

You pray… and the answer doesn’t come.
You worship… and your circumstances don’t change.
You read your Bible… and don’t feel the same emotions you once did.

In those moments, it’s easy to wonder if God has stepped away.

But throughout Scripture, some of God’s greatest works happened during the silence. Noah built an ark before the rain. Joseph sat in prison before the palace. David was anointed king long before he wore the crown. Between the promise and the fulfillment, there was often a quiet season.

Silence is not God’s absence.

Sometimes the Teacher is quiet during the test—not because He has left the room, but because He knows what He has already taught you.

Don’t mistake God’s silence for God’s rejection. He is still working in ways you cannot see. Roots grow in the dark before fruit appears in the light.

If you’re in a quiet season today, keep praying. Keep worshipping. Keep obeying. Keep trusting.

The same God who seemed silent on Saturday morning was preparing the greatest victory the world had ever known by Sunday.

Your quiet season is not the end of your story.

Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” — Joshua 1:9

Comfort zones feel safe, but they can also become places where we stop growing. Throughout Scripture, God often called ordinary people to do extraordinary things that were far outside what felt comfortable.

Noah built an ark before anyone had seen rain. Moses stood before Pharaoh even though he felt inadequate. Esther risked her life by approaching the king. Peter stepped out of the boat and walked on water—not because the waves disappeared, but because Jesus called him.

Faith has never been about feeling comfortable. It’s about trusting the One who is leading you.

Sometimes God asks us to teach a class, witness to a stranger, start a ministry, forgive someone who hurt us, or simply say “yes” to something that seems bigger than we are. Our first response is often, “I can’t.”

The truth is, we probably can’t—on our own. But God never promised we would have to do it alone.

If your next step makes you depend on Him more, it may be exactly where He wants you. Growth happens when we leave what is familiar and discover that God’s grace is greater than our fears.

Today, don’t let fear keep you where God has called you to move. The greatest blessings are often waiting just beyond the edge of your comfort zone.

Double the Blessing ❤️❤️

Scripture:
“Children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” — Psalm 127:3 (KJV)

There is something special about twins. They arrive together, grow together, and often share a bond that few people can truly understand. Yet, even though they may look alike, they are wonderfully unique creations of God.

That reminds me of how God works in His church. He doesn’t make carbon copies. He creates each of us with different personalities, gifts, strengths, and callings. We may walk the same path, worship in the same sanctuary, and serve the same Savior, but God has a unique purpose for every life.

As a parent of twins, there are moments when one needs extra attention while the other seems content. One may run ahead while the other takes their time. It teaches an important lesson: God knows exactly what each of His children needs. He never compares us to one another. He loves us individually and works in our lives personally.

Whether you’re raising twins, siblings, or simply walking alongside fellow believers, remember that God’s blessings often come in pairs—grace and mercy, faith and hope, truth and love. He is a God of abundance.

Today, thank God for the people He has placed beside you on your journey. And remember, while we may walk together, God’s plan for each life is beautifully unique.

Happy 3rd Birthday to our sweet boys!!!!

When You Can’t Sleep

“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.” — Psalm 4:8 (KJV)

There are nights when sleep just won’t come. The house is quiet, the lights are off, but your mind is still wide awake. Worries seem louder in the dark. Questions feel heavier. Problems seem bigger at 2:00 a.m. than they did at 2:00 p.m.

If you find yourself awake tonight, remember this: God is awake too.

While the world sleeps, the Lord is still watching, still working, and still caring for His children. The hours you spend staring at the ceiling are not wasted if you spend them talking to Him. What feels like a sleepless night can become a quiet prayer meeting between you and God.

Instead of counting sheep, count blessings. Instead of rehearsing your fears, rehearse God’s faithfulness. Remember the prayers He has already answered and the valleys He has already brought you through.

You may not be able to rest your body tonight, but you can still rest your heart.

The same God who will be with you tomorrow is with you right now in the stillness of the night.

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” — Luke 1:37 (KJV)

There is a miracle that happens at nearly every church service.

A family can spend thirty minutes looking for their car keys at home. They check the couch, the kitchen table, the diaper bag, the bathroom counter, and somehow even the refrigerator.

Then someone finally says, “Let’s pray.”

Immediately everyone becomes a detective.

“Oh! They’re in my pocket.”

The miracle wasn’t that God moved the keys. The miracle was that somebody finally got quiet enough to think!

Life can be like that. We run around stressed, frustrated, and overwhelmed trying to solve everything ourselves. We wear ourselves out looking for answers in every direction except upward.

Then we stop and pray.

Sometimes God performs a miraculous intervention. Other times He simply calms our hearts enough to see what was in front of us all along.

Prayer doesn’t always change the situation instantly, but it always changes us.

So the next time you’re tearing apart the house looking for your keys, your phone, your glasses, or that church shoe your toddler hid somewhere, remember: before you panic, pray.

You might still not find it… but at least you’ll lose it with a better attitude.
