Really great photograph!

While shooting at the boatyard in Cojímar, I saw one of the fishermen getting ready to head out for the day in his rowboat. Right away I knew that this boat would make a perfect addition to my collection of boat bow photographs - the lapstrake hull design and the rough patina from years of use had a lot of character. With the help of photographs that I had saved on my phone, I explained to the fishermen what I was trying to accomplish and he was willing to allow me to 'borrow' his skiff for 20 minutes before he went out to fish. The conditions were ideal to capture a reflection of the bow - calm seas and soft light.

Making the vessel Breakaway ready for the season. She is painted and we're installing new coaming bolsters and have installed a new sonar. Expect "first blood" any day now!
