Holiday Ornament Making Workshop
This MONDAY! Dec 22nd (6:30-8pm)

Come make a beautiful ornament for a loved one or for your own tree! Joy and friendship will be had, laughter and connection as well. It’s nice to make a thing in community, join us Monday evening in Eastworks. You guys, Big news!

I was invited to teach at one of my favorite places, the museum in Brockton,MA next Saturday Nov. 22nd. 11am-12:30pm

We would love to have you join us for a copper pendant making workshop. You’ll learn about the structure of copper and get to hammer your own designs on a wearable pendant strung on leather cord. You’ll learn chasing techniques and use all the chasing tools I made with my own hands. Come make a bunch of noise and a beautiful piece in an hour and a half with me.

Eastworks Open Studios
This weekend!!

Nov 1st & 2nd (10-5pm) both days

It’s my last one in Eastworks in this space. I moving my studio out by the first of the year. I’d love to see you all and have a big celebratory weekend 💖💖💖

I’m full of all the feels. I’m filled to the brim with gratitude and a mix of other stuff too :)
Come give hugs and high fives and buy some beautiful work from all the artists in the building. We work really hard to create and it’s a beautiful gift to be able to share it with you. Thanks for the love and support! I’ll post more photos soon 🙌🏻✨🌈⚒️

Happy spooky returns!

Here’s a witchy green flame to ignite your senses 🧙🏻‍♀️

I’ve been busy making a bonkers amount of custom work, and some new rings for Open Studios - which is coming up. Put it in your calendars, Nov 1st & 2nd (10-5) both days and it’s daylight savings weekend, right after Halloween.

I made my first wedding crown this year! I’m currently working on a new engraving technique - gold inlay. I get to make all the tools I use for engraving. I’ve been really pushing myself to learn new techniques for my projects this year and it’s some good growing all around.
Libraries are pretty pumped on my new night light workshops, so those are booking in fast. The work feels really satisfying, and there’s a lot of it, so that’s great.

Besides making all the shiny tinys, I’ve been learning how to grow food this year! We harvested tons of tomatoes, grew blue flower corn, I learned how to plant and dig potatoes and sweet potatoes. We put in apple trees, a black locust hedge and raspberries and blueberry shrubs, among many other things that were unfortunately decimated by beetles! It’s been a labor of love on our new property and it’s really fulfilling and a TON of work. We just got two new barred rock chickens to add to our flock (need some names for them - suggestions welcome)

Baby Kitty has got a new adventure vest and gets to go outside again, but super safely with us on a leash. It’s amazing to see her explore the garden and play in the corn field. I swam a lot this summer, went to Maine, traveled around to a million libraries teaching and am continuing to do so and have dates booked into next summer. Just wanted to fill you in and show you I’m still here, crushing it behind the scenes and off social media for the most part for my mental health. I’ll try to update more often, but if you need me, just email or call to say hi!

I miss you all and hope you’ll come to Open Studios.

Library Workshops 2024: I’m getting all the materials ready for a big bunch of library workshops through the end of December! I’ve also got so many more planned for 2025. If you’d like to enroll yourself of your child in any of these classes, they are age specific - most of them. Tween/ teen workshops anyone 10+ and Adult workshops. The schedule is on slides 2 & 3. You can call or email the library to secure your spot, but they go fast and usually have a waitlist, so give them a call and let’s make some beautiful copper projects together this fall and winter. The other photos are from some recent libraries I’ve traveled to and I just love teaching in different places. Hope to see you all soon - let’s hammer out all those big feelings into some art. ⚒️💖✨🙌🏻🌈

Hey everyone, it’s Heather!

I want to thank you all for your love and support as we head into this holiday season. Big love to everyone who came to Open Studios and for placing your custom orders with me. I’m so grateful for you! I’m working hard on your custom projects and also packing our house as we prepare to move to Greenfield. I’m teaching 6 more library workshops in Nov & 11 workshops in December, so I’ll also be traveling a lot. If you were excited about taking a free copper ornament or bookmark making workshop, stay tuned for the schedule.

Who knew that the year I turned 40 would have so much change in store! All that is to say, I’m taking a social media break, so I can be more careful with how I’m spending and managing my energy. I will pop on here and there to check messages, but I am too overwhelmed with the feed and the endless scrolling to be here regularly. If you want to purchase presents for the holidays, you can purchase my work and at in Easthampton and for those of you in the Delaware Water Gap area. I have a large selection of work at my studio for you to choose from and you simply need to email or call for an appointment to come in and shop. Eastworks Open Studios 2024
Join us this weekend!

November 2nd & 3rd

Heather Beck Designs will have our doors open to the public to show off our magical studio space, sell beautiful jewelry and explain about our making process. We’ll have a cheese board, seltzers, laughter and connection. Please come and join in on the fun!

We got some brand-new equipment that was purchased with the help of the Biz-M-Power Grant that we received last year. We’re so grateful to you for your support and would love to show you all the improvements we’ve made. The equipment is changing the way I’m able to make work and teach! I even printed a new look book for you to see all the custom pieces I made with the microscope & engraving tools at my new bench. I can’t wait to see you all!

We are located in the basement of Eastworks Studio #047 on the back side of the building. With floor to ceiling windows, the space is so inviting, and we have a really comfy green couch for you to hang out on and take it all in. Come and join us on this very special weekend and share in the community. We are among dozens of artists and entrepreneurs who will open their doors to show and sell their work. There will be live music, house concerts, gallery exhibits (The Monster Arts Show is not to be missed and is right down the hall from me), demonstrations, crafting projects, food and lots of fun for kids. 500,000 square feet, 5 floors; Eastworks; Where community happens. I’ve been waiting to see the Aurora Borealis since my childhood! Last night was so magical, I can’t believe these were taken from the top of our outside stairs looking at Mt. Tom under this magnificent glow. It’s been a super intense month, and this has really made my whole time feel more joyful.

Big News: We are in the process of selling our beautiful home in Easthampton and will be moving to Greenfield by the 1st of Jan. Don’t worry, my studio is staying put for now, I’ll still be in Easthampton. If you want to move to downtown Easthampton, Check out realtor.com - there’s an Open House Sunday 11-1pm.

It’s my favorite time of year to see all my friends and loved ones all gathered around the art of my closest maker family. I hope to see your beautiful faces! They’re playing a set upstairs too if you wanna catch them around noon on the main stage. Art and food trucks and music, what more could you want for daylight savings weekend, you even get a whole other hour of sleep!

Hey all! We’re in the Reach Goals part of our patronicity campaign and there’s 4 days left to contribute if you feel moved to donate. We are so grateful to you all for your donations, love, and support!!

Some of the items we need to make this project complete were not deemed Capital Investments by MGCC, but we still need them to make our setup work. These include lighting for the student work bench, several crucibles and scales for our casting setup and smaller tools for my students. Any amount is helpful and we love and appreciate you forever. 💖
