Hey friends! Long time no see! I haven’t picked up a paintbrush in honestly I don’t know when, but someone requested a special Bible for their wedding and I could not say no!

Those of you who know me know I have three kids 3 and under, so life is busy but wonderful! That being said, if there is enough interest I have decided to paint 8 semi-custom Bibles. What that means is I choose the colors and designs. You purchase an already painted Bible and tell me what you want it to say. Make sense?

My plan is to paint these 8, see how that goes, and then there may or may not be more for a while. So if you’re one of the ones I’ve talked to in the past several months who has been waiting, now is your chance!

All shipments are backed up because of the Rona and I have nothing stocked, let me know you’re interested and I’ll hopefully be posting pictures of semi-customs available for purchase in the next few weeks!!

This is my personal Bible. I never got a picture when it was freshly painted, so it’s a little worn. This is the one I’ve used over the past few months.. when I’ve really needed Jesus to be my stability and refuge like never before.

I know things over here have been super silent for a while.. basically things have been a hot mess. Right after my last post, I broke my finger (so far has required 3 surgeries), was on several courses of antibiotics, found out we were expecting (🙌🏼🙌🏼), and basically stayed so so sick for about 2 months. So I haven’t been painting much. Several people have asked if I’m still painting and the answer is YES.. just at a lower volume. Right now that’s what my family needs. So if you’re interested in a Bible, book, or journal here’s what you need to know—-
• Painting at a lower volume means I’m taking less orders. I am taking a limited quantity per month, so if there is something you absolutely can’t wait on please let me know. Like always it will be first come first served, I will get to it, it just may be the following month. If this is the case I will let you know!
• This also means there will be a limited quantity I can do for Christmas. At that point I will be 8 months pregnant. It’s never too early to let me know you are going to need something for Christmas and reserve your spot!
• After Christmas, I will be taking a break for a little while. Come January we will have 3, three and under, and while we are so excited and so grateful it is obviously going to be an adjustment. I plan to start up again.. it just may be a little while. So again if there is something you can’t wait on, please please let me know! I hate disappointing people!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I thought I’d post this Bible that a daughter ordered for her Mama. Y’all I literally cried when she described her Mama to me. They are the most precious family and I hope my kids love me as much as she loves her Mother.

I struggle with anxiety. I wrote it off for a really long time because I thought of myself as a “natural born worrier.” But I’ve come to realize even though something seems/feels natural doesn’t make it right. Sin is going to feel natural because we are SINNERS. Worrying is still sin because God tells us not to worry (Matt 6:25-34). Worry is from the enemy. So I’m taking every thought captive (2 Cor 10:5). I’m turning my anxious thoughts into prayers and praises. I’m choosing to believe I can hide in the shelter if His wings and that I am fully embraced by Him.

Two very different Bibles went out this week to two of my favorite people. Two very different personalities in two very different cities chose two very different verses.

I think, though, these two girls choosing what they did at similar times is exactly the message I needed for the week. It’s funny how the Lord works. “Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created.” Whether the season is hard, sweet, happy, sad — we’re in it for a reason so we have to run to Jesus as our “place of quiet retreat” and “wait for [His] word to renew [us].” These little years that my family’s in are hard. They’re so so sweet and fun but there are days that are so hard. If you’re a mama or daddy, it’s not by an accident. On days that we feel like there is no good reason we should be the ones raising these kids, we have to remember God put us there for a reason. One of the most important jobs we will ever have is discipling our children. So on the hard days (and all the other days in between) we’ve gotta go to Jesus to be renewed and as a quiet retreat. Praise Jesus that there is always rest and peace in Him.
