Start of summer tip for our outdoors families; Went to Horseneck Beach and paid $0 to park. (Also had a seagull make friends with our truck)
That's the DCR annual parking pass doing its thing.
It's $60 for the whole calendar year. Horseneck alone is $14 a visit โ the pass pays for itself in 5 trips. After that you're just going for free.
For South Shore families, here's where it works:
๐ Borderland State Park, Easton โ $5/day
๐ Watson Pond, Taunton โ $8/day
๐ Myles Standish State Forest, Carver โ $8/day
๐ Nantasket Beach, Hull โ $15/day
๐ Horseneck Beach, Westport โ $14/day
Beaches, ponds, trails, forests โ all of it covered under one pass for the year.
You grab it through the YODEL app, it links to your plate, and you never have to think about it again. No cash, no kiosk, no fumbling around when you pull in.
If you're trying to get your kids outside without spending $15 every time you park, this is the easiest $60 you'll spend all summer.
