Join us for a special reading and book signing with Emily Rich, editor of the Bay to Ocean Journal, on Friday, July 11 at 2 PM at Flying Cloud Booksellers.

Published by the Eastern Shore Writers Association, Bay to Ocean Journal showcases outstanding poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction from writers across Maryland and beyond. Now in its seventh year, the journal celebrates the voices, stories, and shared sense of place that make our literary community so vibrant.

Emily will read selections from the latest edition and discuss the journal’s mission of fostering creativity, connection, and a home for writers on the Eastern Shore. Afterward, she’ll be available to sign copies.

🌟 We have exciting news! 🌟

At Flying Cloud Booksellers, one of our greatest joys is the meaningful connections we’ve made in our community—including our library curation with The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. Through this collaboration, we’ve had the pleasure of getting to know acclaimed author Debbie Levy, and we’re delighted that she will be joining us in store for a special Children’s Story Time!

Join us on Saturday, June 27 at 11:30 AM as Debbie reads her beautiful book, Photo Ark 1-2-3: An Animal Counting Book in Poetry and Pictures, a captivating animal counting book told through poetry and stunning photographs.
Debbie has written several wonderful books, and after story time, she’ll be sticking around to chat with guests and sign books. We’ll also have copies of several of her other titles available for purchase.

We hope you’ll join us for this special morning of stories, community, and celebrating the connections that books can create. 📚✨
