The past several Fridays (and for the foreseeable future) I’ve been working over at .framed.you , the new frame shop downtown, exchanging free labor for learning how to properly frame. Today I completed my first piece beginning to end by myself. Woohoo!!

And the best part? It’s a piece I just bought yesterday for the shop. A very scarce vintage Chesapeake Steamship Company print, now available in shop!!

An incredible Clara Barton manuscript piece just acquired this morning, in a beautiful frame with her portrait. Here Barton quotes, though not quite word for word, Thomas Jefferson’s famous statement about his fate in the afterlife as a result of owning slaves. Barton writes “Thomas Jefferson, in alluding to slavery - said. ‘I tremble when I remember that God is just” Barton had a signed and dated the manuscript at the bottom of - May 5, 1907. This one of a kind piece is currently available at the shop!
